I would have stared
Even if you had been a star
And light years away.
The emanations of space
Even gamma waves that pass through earth
Are not as powerful.
It was like I was struck down
Almost burnt to a crisp
As if by a flare from the sun.
O this is a universe of wondrous things.
None are more startling however
Than that which you manifest before me.
Flashing in the here and now
You are the epitome of solar comets.
Halley’s, in comparison, would be drab.
