- restless paw upon a restless paw,
- a rustle unwillingly heard, and not responding,
- a circle of stomachs’ unresolved growling.
- Life has its limits.
- How could he know
- that to stop like this was to negate a principle?
- He had burned his feeling.
- He plucked and he plucked,
- but what came out
- was a scream.
