Dedicatory Statement

Even here, though art and business seem estranged,
there’s an imaginative field, with wild thoughts

and flowers growing, and weird-shaped creatures
waiting for their chance; and even here, amidst chatter,

and the clatter of extraneous noise,
on pages stained and wine-glass spatter,

on the underside of placemat dot coms,
is a plethora, a mixed-food potpourri collage,
where a colloquium of your needs may be fulfilled.
So take what you want!
Or reject these humbled offerings.
They are only here to rouse the spirit.
But then, who would reject a beauteous pair of shoes,
or, from our local dentist, a new set of porcelain teeth?
