I mean their meanings.
First one time to another.
Just scan a couple of pages
in the English etymological dictionary and you’ll get the idea.
And then there’s people: we think we’re speaking
the same language;
but merely try out some banality
on 2 or 3
passers-by in the street
or passengers sitting next to you
on the train
and you’ll see what I mean.
