Even Though He Doesn’t Have To Move His Bowels, He’ll Try
He’ll try, because his master wants him to,
because his master is afraid
he will make on the Persian rug
or in the kitchen
or the bathroom floor,
Though what’s so bad about that?
Isn’t it what bathrooms are for?
So he goes out there
leading his master from his end of the leash,
and he’ll squat down
and sometimes he’ll even make believe,
because when he does a good job,
even if it is deceptive,
he gets a cookie
when they go back in,
and isn’t that what makes
life so terrific?
