This business
is like all others:
(1) a splitting of hairs
(2) a middle course
(3) a shot down the green.
If we were circus people: I mean
performers,
or acrobats, or wild
animal trainers, it
would be no different
from pouring ourselves
over the books
studying to be
lawyers,
doctors,
someone in middle management,
some kind of entrepreneur;
all the same, it’s all the same, just
different ways
to make a living,
stay alive,
write a page, come up
with another theory
on how the stars.
